3RD. WEEK

CULTURAL WEEK

This week was fantastic because we had to be present at a very important time for this country, the commemoration of "The French Revolution". On that day we attended to see the parade held annually in Elysess Champs.

At night, we saw a concert at Champ de Mars and a show of fireworks, the most exciting thing was to see the Eiffel Tower with the colors of the flag of France while everyone sang "La Marseillaise".

Somewhat surprising was the visit to the artist's workshop Chauviniere Riant who is a sculptor and painter. We talked a little about his work and the technique used Torolite and the play of light upon the sculptures, makes their work unique. After that, lived a little with the artist, the Professora Liz, Anita, and Omayra Etienne. It was an honor to share these moments so pleasant.

3RD. WEEK - DIGITAL LANDSCAPE

DIGITAL LANDSCAPE

This week was very intense because we work new digital tools and digital marketing topics such amazing speed. For me it was very difficult because the issue related to marketing and this, is totally new to my area of study and work and despite having difficulty working new tools on a tablet, the practice was possible.

Digital Landscape included a topic for session:

Session 1 - Generation C
Session 2 - Influencer Marketing

Session 3 - Social Media Optimization

In each of them I learned new things.

In the first session it was meaningful for me to work on creating blog pages, text links and embeds. I also met ISSUU the tool to present something in a magazine format or digital catalog. It was new and I can also apply it to my master.

The second session saw the topic Influencer Marketing which I knew nothing. I knew the difference between traditional marketing and influencer marketing. For me the most useful of the day was learning how to use Drive for presentations, I also learned that this tool can share and work together simultaneously on the same document. Drive facilitate teamwork with my fellow Masters in my field of work.

An interesting thing about that day was the visit of Sebastian Felix, who spoke about the importance of Snaptraveller and attract influencers to have high impact sales.

In the last session the topic was Social Media Optimization. Most surprising to me was to know and work with Emaze, this platform for creating dynamic presentations and high visual content, which makes it a very powerful tool in the field of education as well with a presentation, students could hardly distracted or bored. Now Emaze presentations will appeal to any audience.

Thanks to the patience of Professor  Liz Craig the class was a success.

Living and working in France

2nd. week, Visit Cultural.

We started the week celebrating the birthday of our classmates Edith and Adriana on 7 and 8 July respectively, Omayra arrived with cakes to celebrate a moment in the classroom and with Veronique sang in French.

As we already know train ride, some of us went to see the Arc de Triomphe, which is an icon for this country. Later we went to go Champs Élysées, to know what offers this great avenue.

On Friday was a day awaited by many of us because we went to visit the Louvre and many things impressed me, the area occupied by this huge museum, the many people who visit from all over the world, but all the enormous cultural wealth I possesses. We can not to visit all the museum but we saw works by artists like Da Vinci, Caravaggio, and others.

See the paintings was wonderful. In the Greek and Egyptian area the sculptures were great, it is inevitable to think about how they could do so to prove that wonderful piece of art, made with human hands and tools that we have not today. It was also very shocking to know some pots, ornamental figures, furnitures and even jewelry created before our age, compared with cultures in Mexico, egypt have vivid colors, many details and were made in earlier times. I enjoyed visiting this museum to share what I saw and have another perspective on my country.

2nd. week

WORKING CONDITIONS

In this second week, our Professor was Steve Kruse who spoke about working conditions in France. There are many differences and similarities in relation to work in Mexico.

One of the reasons that the working conditions are different is because in France the laws are met and are written to keep the employee in the Company. While in Mexico, according to the Federal Labor Law, the employee should be protected, but the reality is different, because the employer takes care of their interests and benefits and forgott protect their employees.

The most important points about working conditions in France are described in the table below and compared with the conditions in Mexico.

IEMI - 1st. Week

My experiences on this first week were very agreeable, it started by visiting the university and meeting people that work there who gave us a very king welcome. Our first Professor Dr. Jean Louis Burban told us about the European Social Law, beginning with historical information about European Union and the consequences of first and second world war, its foundation, the achieves,  the agreements, and the reunions  throughout its history, The formation of European Commissions and the European Parliament that have brought many benefits to the countries that integrate the European Union.

Every day, I am learning a lot of things. I  hope to learn more and enjoy this experience.

México - París

The Faculty  Led IEMI-Paris adventure, started in June 28 in Mexico City. We arrived to the airport many hours before the fly and we had to  wait  for the check in, meanwhile we looked for the best exchange rate, the boys watched the football in the TV., others went to buy personal items that they might have forgotten at home, and the rest where saying good bye to their loved ones.
When in the airplane, we had to fly for more than 10 hours and bear the uncomfortable sits, after that long and exhausted trip; finally we arrived to Paris in June 29, 2:30pm approx.  where Omayra were waiting to take us to the hostel.
From the first moment of our arrival was inevitable to compare what we have in Mexico to what we see in France, how different the two countries are talking about culture, education, economy, infrastructure, gastronomy, and people.
I am very impressed about the economy and very modern infrastructure, the buying power, and of course of the fashion that we can see everywhere, even in the subway. People mood change easily for many reasons.  Night life it´s very present here, we can see people everywhere because we have day light until 10 or 11 pm.
I am very happy to be here in France, and to share this adventure with my classmates, Maru , Veronique , Omayra , and all my Professors during my stay at IEMI.

My experience in Paris

In this blog I will tell you about my experience in Paris and my stay at IEMI, also I will share photos of  the task at IEMI and  the travels too.
